  • What is SuperNoodle

    SuperNoodle is a Social Emotional Learning platform, created by GoNoodle, that embodies the same fun spirit that has made it loved by teachers and kids!! SuperNoodle provides schools with a first-of-its-kind, research-based, SEL curriculum for 5 - 9 year olds.

    SuperNoodle leverages proven frameworks, continual feedback, and leading-edge, immersive technology that is fun for students and supportive to teachers as we join one another as a force for joy of our children to navigate the stresses of our modern world.

  • What grades are supported in the SuperNoodle curriculum for Back to School 2023?

    SuperNoodle curriculum available for BTS 2023 will provide a comprehensive, competency based SEL curriculum for grades K-1 and 2-5.

    In 2024, SuperNoodle will expand to provide curriculum for 3 and 4 year olds, extending SEL to preschool and pre-k programs

  • What will happen to SEL content on the GoNoodle platform?

    GoNoodle SEL content will remain in the library and continue to be free for all GoNoodle users.

  • Will there continue to be free/open-source materials for teachers?

    GoNoodle will remain a free video platform for teachers and families, as it is today. SuperNoodle is a comprehensive SEL curriculum platform, including check-ins, videos, and activities, that is sold through school and district licensing.

  • Is GoNoodle pursuing SEL accreditation for the SuperNoodle curriculum?

    We are building a research-backed and science-based curriculum. Through delivery, over time, we will pursue becoming an evidence-based curriculum by partnering with universities.

    Therefore, we are currently forming a curriculum advisory board with a selection of universities. There is not a widely recognized SEL accrediting body, as CASEL and PBIS are essentially think tanks with frameworks, however our curriculum is informed by CASEL, PBIS, and other frameworks.

  • How does SuperNoodle define SEL?

    We are defining SEL as a mindful awareness practice for children that provides them with social skills and emotional competencies that allow them to realize connection, joy and their greatest well-being.

  • Tell me more about the SuperNoodle curriculum

    The SuperNoodle curriculum is research based and leverages widely respected and established SEL frameworks like CASEL, PBIS, and others. It is structured around universally accessible competencies, with the foundational and first competency being Connection, which is pervasive and woven throughout the entirety of the curriculum for all ages and all lessons. With content that is fun, interactive, rewarding, and the use of familiar and loved GoNoodle characters, teachers are provided tools that are approachable and easy to use to foster connection within the classroom, and skills that kids can use outside of the classroom to live happier, healthier lives

  • How do CASEL, PBIS and other frameworks relate to the SuperNoodle curriculum?

    SuperNoodle’s competency-based curriculum is backed by science and leverages best practices of CASEL, PBIS, Restorative Practice Protocols, and Zones of Regulation Behavior Guidance. SuperNoodle is designed with a focus on easing SEL instruction for teachers. The lessons consist of fun, immersive, and interactive content for kids.

  • Who are the experts building the curriculum?

    Our team of mental health experts includes our Head of Curriculum, members of our curriculum advisory board, healthcare partners and clinicians, as well as paid experts.

  • How does my district pay for it?

    ESSER: SuperNoodle can be funded by ESSER! A requirement of ESSER is that 20% of district funds be reserved for addressing learning loss through evidence-based programs that support students’ academic and social - emotional needs.
