Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is SuperNoodle?

SuperNoodle is a comprehensive, teacher-led, whole-group well-being program created by GoNoodle. It keeps the same fun, classroom-ready energy teachers and kids know from GoNoodle and extends it into a sequenced resource that schools can use across the year. It’s designed to be joyful for students and supportive for teachers.

  • What grades are supported in the year-long SuperNoodle resource?

SuperNoodle provides grade-based teacher guides for every lesson, with differentiation ideas for K–5. There are 80 lessons for grades K–4 and 40 lessons for grade 5 (that are more student-led).

  • Will GoNoodle content continue to be FREE for classrooms and homes?

Yes. GoNoodle remains a free, robust video platform for teachers and families.
SuperNoodle is a school-purchased subscription that combines beloved GoNoodle Champs and movement videos with sequenced lessons, classroom activities, and home connections.

  • Who are the experts who built SuperNoodle?

SuperNoodle was developed by GoNoodle’s education team — child development, education, and behavioral health experts — led by the Head of Education, with feedback from healthcare partners, clinicians, and field consultants.

  • How does SuperNoodle define social and emotional learning?

We define these well-being skills broadly to include these eight universal, teachable competencies: connection, choice, coping skills, creativity, compassion, curiosity, confidence, collaboration.

Competencies reflect awareness + understanding + action combined. Additional content areas (like character, comedy, citizenship) could be added over time.

  • Still curious to know more about the SuperNoodle resource?

SuperNoodle is research-backed and leverages widely-respected educational frameworks - CASEL, PBIS, Yale’s RULER, MTSS, and others. It is built around universally-accessible competencies that are thoughtfully sequenced - starting with Connection (to self, others, and situations) and culminating with Collaboration (communication, cooperation, and a sense of belonging). Because lessons are fun, interactive, and familiar - often featuring GoNoodle Champs - teachers get easy-to-use tools for setting a positive tone, and students get skills they can take beyond the classroom to support healthier, happier lives.

  • How did CASEL, PBIS, and other frameworks inspire the construction of SuperNoodle?

    SuperNoodle’s competency-based scope and sequence:

    - aligns with CASEL and adds situational awareness to the core skills,
reflects PBIS priorities (responsible, respectful, safe),

    - functions as a Tier 1, universal MTSS resource, building knowledge and skills for all students,

    - incorporates restorative approaches for handling relational conflict and repair, and

    - supports RULER goals for awareness and regulation of emotions.

It is also built to ease the instructional liftfor teachers — lessons are whole-group, social, and ready to run on the shared-screen.

  • Is GoNoodle pursuing educational accreditation for SuperNoodle?

We plan to build toward an evidence-based designation over time by pairing usage and fidelity data with teacher feedback and, when possible, university research partnerships.

  • How do teachers get access to SuperNoodle? Is it free like GoNoodle?

SuperNoodle is licensed at the school/district level as a subscription. We do not sell individual teacher licenses.
